 String Algae Buster SAB
String algae buster - SAB pond bacteria is an all natural and fish safe used to control string algae control in ponds, waterfalls and watergardens. String algae buster is formulated to help reduce watergarden maintenance and promote the growth of beneficial bacteria and enzymes that will keep water clear and algae down to a minimum. String Algae Buster will assist in the breakdown and reduction of string algae in the stream, waterfalls and pond. String Algae Buster Extreme works by breaking down the micro-nutrients that algae uses as food. SAB will not harm pond fish or plants or disrupt the balance of the watergarden ecosystem.
Also consider using our rock and waterfall cleaner as a first line of defense spot treatment. It works on contact to kill algae on rocks and waterfalls and scrubs away dirt and debris. Use rock and waterfall cleaner for spot treatment of bad string algae areas and string algae buster or our store brand Pond Bacteria Dry-with barley straw, for long term control.
Directions:
Do not add String Algae Buster directly to your pond!
Fill a small bucket with pond water. Add one tablespoon of String algae buster extreme to the bucket for every 100 gallons of water in the pond. Stir the mixture until the SAB has dissolved this will make a white/brownish mixture. The mixture can then be spread in the water around the edges of pond and in the stream. The water may become cloudy immediately after the mixture is added to the pond. This is normal and should clear up within 24-48 hours. The pond should be treated 2-3 times during the first month or once every 10-14 days. String algae buster should be added to the pond once a month every month thereafter.
