Waterfalls add another exciting dimension to a koi pond installation. They are also an ideal place to filter the water before it spills back into the pond. Waterfall filter pads, located in your waterfall filter, grab the fine particles of food and waste and trap them. This helps keep the water clean and clear, offering a healthier environment for the fish. An Aquascape biofalls waterfall filter is one of the most common filters and you will find we have all the replacement filter pads for them in a variety of sizes. The waterfall filter replacement pads in our inventory are created from the exact same durable materials as your original filter pads made to withstand continual use in a fish pond. We recommend cleaning the pond waterfall filter pad a few times each season (Spring, late Summer, Fall), and replacing them about every 3-5 years.

This is the filter pad replacement for a small Micro Aquascape BioFalls filter. Your filter should contain two of these filter pads. These pads should be rinsed out 2-3 times during the pond season and be replaced about every three years. These pond filter pads are 10" x 14" and are two inches thick.

Aquascape Classic Mini BioFalls Pond Skimmer Replacement Filter Pad

One of the most important parts of your Aquascape Mini BioFalls is the biological pond filter mat that it comes with. An important line of defense, Aquascape’s Mini BioFalls pond filtration pads are specially designed with a texture and coating that encourages bacterial growth. The BioFalls filter replacement mats also give 50% more surface area than a typical filter mat and are supplemented with the addition of BioBalls, each containing an additional 19 inches of surface area.

This rectangular replacement pad is compatible with the Aquascape BioFalls Waterfall filter. Itis 17.5” x 20” in dimension and is often stacked in threes within your BioFalls filter.

These are the pond filter pad replacements for the Large Aquascape BioFalls filter. Three filter pads should be used in the black waterfall filter. 2" thick white material. Trapezoid shape.

Where to use: In your waterfall filter at the beginning of your stream.

How to use: Replacement filter mats for replacing your current pads or they can be used as additional filter material in your waterfall filter box. Replace as needed, typically every five years. Put onto top of support rack on bottom inside of filter, stack the three filter pads on top of each other and then place bag of lava rock or biofalls on top of the mats.
